Dessert selection
Something that puzzles and irks me is that the dessert selection is poorly documented, especially downstairs. The little nutrition facts paper rarely matches up with what is actually there, and I often have no idea what the desserts are. (Not to say that just trying something new is a bad thing, but it would be nice to know.) It would also be nice to have a more consistent idea of what's going to be there, rather than seeing something you like when you're getting your food and snagging it there and then because it's going to be gone when you get back.
Hey Cece. Thanks for pointing that out. I will look into this problem. Our executive chef is currently on vacation so I might not have more information for you about this until late next week.
Chicken corn chowder
Just a personal complaint, but ever since I've been noting the soups in the rotation, the chicken corn chowder has been served three times... and all on Fridays, a day when I - and I am probably not alone in this - abstain from meat. It's one of my favorite soups, and I would love to try it here, but I'm not going to break my Friday commitment to do so.
Food/Meal Exchanges at the Pub
Getting to the register and finding out what's covered in the exchange is always a shot in the dark. All of these new things for meals that happen periodically don't interest me at all, because their not covered with a meal exchange.
I was at lunch today with a friend and he got the chicken tenders and I got the chicken bites. Mine was a meal exchange but his was not and he paid 8 dollars for the tenders, fries and a drink. That makes absolutely no sense to me, both should be covered. Why is 3-5 tenders not covered but 5-7 chicken bites are? Why is one burger covered, but two burgers is not? And why do I have to pay the full price for both and not just the difference of one patty?
My last point is whatever the policy is, your employees have to actually all be on the same page with it. If the cashier has no idea if my meal is covered and has to check a sheet to find out points clearly to a broken system
Miss Vickie's Chips
There is a conspicuous lack of availability of what I and several others consider the best chips on campus. Would it be possible to expand the number of places where meal exchanges include these as sides?

Faster Classics Line
I (and probably many other students) have noticed that the Classics line is often extrememly long. This often deters me from eating at that station even though the food looks really good especially on Sundays. Would it be possible to have 2 lines serving the same food from the Classics station on a regular basis? Since that station has a "L" shape maybe one line could be along the wall (like it normallly is) and another line could start on the left side of the Simple Servings and progress down the side of the Classics line that leads toward the kitchen. (If this isn't clear, we can talk in person about it!) I just wanted to actually write an Idea in the Idea Group! :)
Coffee Quality
Myself and a few other students have expressed a concern with the coffee that is available in Antonian Hall. I know that for me personally, I no longer drink it at all as it makes me feel nauseous for a good part of the day. I know of at least 2-3 other people who have experienced this same issue, but I'm not sure how widespread it might be. What could be causing this is the coffee being burned when it is being brewed, or being left to sit in the machines themselves could be what is causing it. I was wondering if there was a way to look into this. Another question relating to this is the hot water available for tea. Putting the water in a coffee machine makes the water taste like coffee, which has been a topic of concern for a few friends of mine. Thanks!
More drink options for meal exchanges
The choice for drinks for meal exchanges, especially if you've used up your points and your extra money, is severely limited... yes, I know some of those drinks cost way more than a water or a little carton of milk, but if the drinks are there for us, why can't they be available for meal exchanges? I can't tell you how many times I've looked forlornly at the caffeinated Starbucks drinks through tired eyes and had to get water or milk and consequently become drowsy in class. Maybe there could be different kinds of meal exchanges, like a simple one like what we have now but include caffeinated drinks, and then maybe one or two more where you can get any drink and maybe 2 sides with an entree but there's a more limited number compared to the simple meal exchange. Meal plans may be more expensive as a result, but if there was something like that, I'd have it.
Soy and dairy free soups
I have a couple of friends on campus with strict dietary needs. I often see their frustration with how few options they have in the caf due to many items containing dairy and soy, especially the soups. One of my friends voiced the opinion that it would be nice for her to be able to eat one of the soup options daily. She often finds that many of the soups contain dairy somewhat unnecessarily. If a soy/dairy free soup were to be made available, perhaps it would be nice to clearly and largely label it as such so those with that dietary needs can easily find it.
